He's too big, Momma!

While I was feeding and changing Bebo today Sarah kept asking me to hold him. She has been asking this a lot recently, which is surprising because she has rarely wanted to hold him since he was born. I asked her to sit on the couch and I would let her hold him. She directed how she would hold him and as you can tell by the above picture, that did not work out too well. She grabbed on to him and said, "I gots him!". Then about 2 seconds later exclaimed, "he's too big, Momma!" Haha! That's how I feel holding him sometimes too! So, we readjusted and he laid on her lap. He loved this and started talking to Sarah. She paid no attention and continued watching the little mermaid while she stroked his hair. (It's her FAVORITE movie. She asks to watch it constantly, if I hear Under the Sea one more time I might just scream!) They are too cute, my little babies.

I love my sissy!

Random Silliness

What you lookin' at?

Haha! Found this picture and thought it was too cute... it was taken at the Vinsant's campout 2 years ago. Look how little Sarah is! Bebo was just a twinkle in his Daddy's eye. You know - I always thought that phrase was kinda goofy.

Babies are like sleeping pills...

Squished cheeks...

I know it's a funny title, but as I was going through my pictures today I came across all these pictures of people sleeping while holding my babies. Technically Pop-pops is not sleeping in the above pic, but he has been known to fade off into dreamland while holding a baby. There's something about a squishy baby - especially fat ones, that makes you get drowsy. I find myself nodding off quite often while rocking one to sleep or nursing. I know we won't have them little for long, so I hold on to every sleepy moment I get.

Daddy sneaking snuggling time in on the couch. Notice Sarah is already thinking about something else. You don't get much snuggling time out of that one!

Flour, Sugar and a pinch of Love...

Memories....

Anita is such a great cook and one of her specialties is sugar cookies. Family up North was asking us over Thanksgiving if she had made any of her cookies yet. Well, Sarah was her big helper this year. Anita is a great teacher and very patient. Anita and Sarah kept saying - "ready for the next phase?". It was adorable. It made me think about my Grandmas and how I would have liked to get to know them better. I wish I had more memories of Grandma Brown. Grandma Miller passed away before I was born. Of course, now I have Grandma Lou, Aaron's Grandmother, to step in. She is very special to all of us. I tried to put myself in Sarah's position while she baked with Anita. Wondered how it felt to have such a sweet Mammie. My Grandma Brown was very sweet, but I didn't get to see her very often. I hope all the Grandma's know how much we love them.

Thanks Anita, for taking time with Sarah to make her feel special. She learns so much from you. I learn a lot from you too. Patience, love and get on the ground- roll around- silliness. We love you!

Next phase... FROSTING!

Snowflakes and Sleds

While in Iowa over the holidays, we had a chance to get outside and play in the snow. This was Sarah's first sledding experience. I didn't know how she would do, but she surprised me! She had such a blast that she didn't come in for a long time. By the time she came inside, she was freezing! Her hands were like ice. I really enjoyed getting to go outside with the family. My oldest brother, Scott, and his wife and kids were there with us. They played football in the snow. I got some cool action shots of my nephew, Payton, catching the ball. My greatest surprise that day was the amazing pictures I got of the fam. I'm pretty proud of them. As you can tell, everyone had a pretty good time. I'm especially proud of the picture of my Dad and Bebo. I love his smile. Mom's shots in the snow are pretty cool too. She has a beautiful smile. Enjoy the pics!

Sarah laying in the snow. I did some effects to this picture. I made everything black and white except for her face. Cool, huh?

Cassie and Sarah. Cassie was Sarah's pull around friend. They had a blast together and she still is singing "Happy Birthday, Cassie" at home daily.

My favorite picture of my Dad.

Daredevil! Head first!
